I will not allow those who have given so much to their community to live below poverty level. Other than increasing their monthly allowance, imams and heads of villages will be sponsored to perform the Haj as an annual programme in appreciation of their contributions to the community and religion.

We want far-sighted entrepreneurs, not a generation of Malaysians with an old-fashioned mindset. I believe that these four necessary approaches which I unveiled at the Karnival Usahawan Desa launch will be able to address entrepreneurship development in this country.

I was supposed to only ride for 1km but it was satisfying to complete the entire 7km bicycle ride at the 1Malaysia Charity Ride for Education 2011 in Penang. I am happy that my legs are holding up, regular exercise does help! The spirit of 1Malaysia was overwhelming with thousands of people coming together from different ethnicity, creed and political believes. It was indeed my best and first 1Malaysia ride in Penang!
