Prime Minister To Launch 364 PDM In Penang

GEORGE TOWN, April 20 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will simultaneously launch the opening of 364 district polling centres (PDM) in Penang in conjunction with his visit to the state on Sunday.

Penang Umno liaison chairman Datuk Zainal Abidin Osman said it would be held at a gathering with Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders at the Bukit Jawi Golf Resort, Nibong Tebal.

About 5,000 local BN leaders are expected to attend the function where Najib is expected to give an important message, he told reporters here today.

Najib is also scheduled to visit the Chinese community in the area where he is scheduled to present a house key to a single mother of four children whose family has been staying at a temple when fire destroyed their house a month ago.

The prime minister is also scheduled to attend the 1Malaysia People’s Feast at Kampung Simpang Tiga before meeting representatives of non-governmental organisations, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) lecturers, student leaders and students at the university.
