KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak extended his thanks to all subscribers and visitors of his website and for their support of the 1Malaysia concept.

“I have been continuously promoting the concept of 1Malaysia, both as a way of life for all Malaysians as well as a philosophy of the new administration.

“I am pleased to read your responses to the 8 Values which I had put up last month and encourage you to continue visiting to share your thoughts and views towards shaping a greater nation,” he said in his 1Malaysia update on the website Tuesday.

Najib launched his personal website on Sept 16 last year when he was the Deputy Prime Minister at that time.

The website is intended to be a forum for all Malaysians to exchange views on the important issues that face them as well as to promote common goals and highlight the nation’s unique diversity.

Najib also expressed his concern that certain quarters were seeking to drive wedges between Malaysia’s communities for political and personal gain and that the was intended as a portal through which members of the public could directly engage in open and honest dialogue directly with him.

The website is for all Malaysians and he encouraged those who rely on the Internet for information, communication, and community to join this discussion.

After being sworn in as Prime Minister on April 3 this year, Najib continued updating his blog from time to time.

Viewers can read the text of his maiden address as the new prime minister on his blog. It was posted even as he was delivering it live over television.
