PETALING JAYA, April 30 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak returned home today after concluding a two-day working visit to Brunei Darussalam to strengthen bilateral relations.
The special aircraft carrying Najib and his entourage arrived at the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) base in Subang, near here at 3.25 pm.
Najib was accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and wife, and Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim and wife.
En route home, Najib and his delegation stopped in Kuching, Sarawak to attend the funeral of the wife of the Sarawak Chief Minister, Puan Sri Laila Taib, who died of cancer yesterday.
Najib’s visit to Brunei was the first since he took over as Prime Minister from Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi earlier this month.
While in Bandar Seri Begawan, Najib held discussions with the Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, on various matters including the land and maritime boundary between Malaysia and Brunei.
