KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will make a two-day working visit to Sabah from this Wednesday.
A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office today said that upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, Najib would meet with state Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders and then attend a 1Malaysia reception at the city’s Dataran Bandaraya.
On Thursday, Najib will start his day attending a 1Malaysia Juara Rakyat programme in Kemabong town, Tenom, where he will have breakfast with the people before attending a ceremony to hand over communal land titles to the recipients.
He will then go to Sipitang in the southern part of the state which borders Lawas in Sarawak and Kalimantan in Indonesia.
The prime minister will also visit the Sipitang district police headquarters before opening the Pesta Gasing (Tops Festival) and Tamu Besar (GATA) Sipitang.
After lunch in Sipitang, Najib will have a walkabout in Inanam town, about 10km from Kota Kinabalu.
He will then meet with his Internet friends under the “let’s meet, let’s communicate” programme at Magellan Sutera Hotel before returning to Kuala Lumpur.
