PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak showed his humorous and serious sides on his Twitter and Facebook pages, answering a range of questions posed to him by the public.
Describing some of the questions as “really hilarious,” the Prime Minister said it had given him a fresh insight into how Malaysians think and use the social media.
“I’ll answer a few entertaining questions before addressing the more serious ones,” he said before tackling a question on who would win in a contest between pirates and ninjas.
His answer: “Depends on the where the duel takes place.”
“If it’s on land, it will be the ninjas. If it’s at sea, it will be the pirates,” he quipped in a video upload on his official website www.1malaysia.com.my/blog/my-answers-to-tanyanajib
Najib had invited Malaysians to send him questions over Twitter and Facebook from 4.30pm to 5.30pm on Tuesday but comments and questions were still pouring in after 6pm.
Asked whether he was jealous of national goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, the sports-loving premier responded: “I’m happy if there is a fellow Malaysian who has become an idol among the young. I think it’s good that we have more of such personalities.”
When another netizen asked for Najib’s recommendation on where to go for tasty char kuey teow, he had a direct answer – his Hari Raya open house!
There were more personal queries – who ironed his clothes?
“If I have the time, I would love to iron my own clothes. I am fortunate to have a domestic helper,” he added.
Asked about the strategies adopted by Talent Corp to attract overseas talent back home, Najib said the body was focused on engaging with Malaysians working abroad so they would know the opportunities available in Malaysia.
