KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 (Bernama) — Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s readiness to argue and talk about politics with anyone as long as they are reasonable proved that he is a courageous and transparent leader.
Umno information chief Datuk Ahmad Maslan said the remarks were made by the prime minister out of his conviction in championing the people’s well-being and not to gain popularity.
“He (Najib) engages student leaders, NGOs (non-governmental organisations) or private sector representatives to get their feedback,” he told reporters before opening the Malaysian Press Photographers Association’s (MPPA) second annual general meeting here Monday.
Ahmad was commenting on the Najib’s remarks posted on www.1Malaysia.com.my.
At the opening of the MPPA’s AGM, the family of Bernama TV cameraman Noramfaizul Mohd Nor, who was killed by a stray bullet in Somalia, received RM5,000 from Nikon.
