PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has called all Barisan Nasional component party leaders for a meeting at his official residence in Putrajaya tonight.
The leaders received the invites via SMS yesterday.
The meeting is to take place from 8pm and only the party presidents had been invited.
It is learnt that no representative would be allowed if the presidents themselves could not turn up for the meeting.
This takes place five days after the Barisan supreme council held its meeting last Friday.
At a press conference after chai-ring that meeting, Najib, who is Barisan chairman, said the meeting did not discuss the date for the next general election, and that it would not be held this year.
The Umno president said the discussions centred on measures to strengthen the coalition so that it would emerge stronger.
Speculation was rife that Najib might dissolve Parliament on 11.11.11, based on a joke he made in May when he said that the election date would include an 11 his favourite number.
