ALOR SETAR, July 28 (Bernama) — Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Thursday stressed the importance of creative and innovative thinking for bringing the country forward.
The Prime Minister said the development of this ability was a primary aim of improvements made to the education system.
Meeting about 100 selected Facebook friends from Kedah and Perlis here, he expressed the hope that more students go for science and technology.
“There are now more students in the arts stream. For the country to be based on Knowledge-Education, a big portion of students should go into the science and technology stream,” he said.
Najib also said that Malaysians should try to master more than one language, especially if they wish to work for a global company or organisation.
“We should master two or three languages, but we should not neglect the national language,” Najib said.
On a personal note, he also answered questions on his favourite food and spoke about keeping healthy.
