PUTRAJAYA: The current and former mentris besar of Terengganu, Datuk Ahmad Said and Datuk Idris Jusoh met with Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak Thursday over developments in the state.
On Wednesday, 10 Barisan Nasional assemblymen, who had stayed away from the Terengganu State Assembly on Tuesday turned up for the sitting.
Their presence at the sitting put to rest speculation that they were trying to overthrow the state government led by Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said.
The much anticipated tabling of a motion of no-confidence against Ahmad also fizzled out.
The 10 appeared to have heeded Najib’s call for their attendance.
Three of them had claimed that they had received death threats through SMSes.
