Najib Goes To Kelantan Friday For One-day Working Visit

KOTA BAHARU, Feb 28 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will make a one-day working visit to Kelantan on Friday.

He will begin the visit by attending a gathering with members of the Border Regiment 2 and their families at Batu Melintang, Jeli at 9.40am.

According to a statement issued by the Federal Development Department (JPP) Kelantan, Najib will later attend a Gathering of the Leader With The People at the Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) campus in Jeli, at 11am.

International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, in his capacity as Chairman of the Federal Action Council Kelantan and Chairman of the Kelantan Umno Liaison Body, would accompany the Prime Minister during the visit.

The statement said that Najib would present a replica of the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M) cheque to the people who are eligible for the aid in the Jeli Parliamentary constituency.

Later, Najib will take a helicopter ride to Sekolah Kebangsaan Othman Talib 2, Pasir Mas and perform Friday prayer at the Masjid Mukim Hutan Chengal, Pasir Mas.

Subsequently, he would proceed to Sekolah Menengah Teknik Pasir Mas to attend a feast with the people at 2.30pm.

The Prime Minister will also attend a tea gathering with Kelantan professionals at the Hotel Grand Riverview in Kota Baharu, at 4.45pm.

Najib, who is also Umno president and Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, will attend a gathering with members of the Kelantan BN at the Hotel Renaissance, here at 8.15pm.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to conclude his visit by attending a dinner with government officers, ex-servicemen, former policemen and hire-car drivers at Kompleks Sekolah Wakaf Mek Zainab, here at 8.55pm.
