SIBU, April 20 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to make a two-day working visit to Sibu beginning April 26.
Sibu Municipal Council chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King in a press conference at his office today said Najib’s first programme would be attending an all- community dinner in the evening.
On the following day, he is expected to declare open the SJK Thai Kwang in Lanang Road.
An elaborate ceremony had been prepared for the occasion where the Chief Minister, Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, would also be present.
Tiong, the Lanang Member of Parliament, is the chairman of the school management board as well.
He said the school was a re-development project costing about RM12 million.
It comprised new classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, canteen, computer laboratory and a theatre hall.
Tiong said Najib would be accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor during the visit.
