Najib Conveys Condolences On The Death Of Crown Prince Sultan

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak Saturday conveyed his deepest condolences to King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud of Saudi Arabia on the demise of Prince Sultan Abdel-Aziz al-Saud.

The kingdom’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector-General died this morning (local time).

The Prime Minister in his condolence message to King Abdullah, said the demise of the Crown Prince is a great loss not only for the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but to the World of Islam which has lost a great leader.

Najib said throughout Crown Prince Sultan’s long and eventful life, he had answered the higher call of duty to serve his people and his country.

“And (he) earned the love and respect of his fellow countrymen and the Islamic Ummah for his integrity, simplicity, dedication and reform-mindedness,” he added.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Your Majesty and the immediate family members and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” he said.
