GUAR CHEMPEDAK (KEDAH), July 28 (Bernama) — Changes, no matter how small, must be beneficial and meaningful to the people, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.
The people should also look into the ability of leaders to bring about positive changes to their lives, the prime minister told about 15,000 people at the people’s feast here Thursday.
“Think about this, think carefully,” he said at the event where he was earlier greeted on arrival by a silat performance.
The prime minister said the people would be able to gauge the ability of leaders to bring meaningful changes by looking at whether they are capable of fulfilling their promises.
He added that changes, no matter how small, should be beneficial to the society.
Najib called on the people to continue supporting the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming election, saying the coalition is capable of bringing changes for their betterment.
He added that it was Umno and BN which had been working hard to develop Malaysia from a small country to one that is recognised internationally.
He also reminded Umno machinery to be prepared to face the coming general election, saying they should not wait for the signals to be sounded.
“We will do all we can to wrest back Kedah. We are in high spirit. God willing, we will be able to win back Kedah,” he said.
He also launched a giant banner measuring 15m x 15m with the wording “BN Menang, Kedah Senang” (BN’s Victory, Kedah’s Prosperity).
