KOTA BAHARU, March 2 (Bernama) — Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak flew in to the Sultan Ismail Petra airport in Pengkalan Chepa here today for a day-long visit to three districts in Kelantan.
The prime minister arrived at 9.25 am and then took a helicopter ride to Batu Melintang, Jeli, to meet soldiers serving at the border and their families.
Najib is scheduled to meet the people at the Jeli campus of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK).
He is also scheduled to visit Pasir Mas and attend Friday prayers at the Hutan Chengal mosque and meet teachers in the parliamentary constituency and attend a lunch with the people at Sekolah Menengah Teknik Pasir Mas.
The prime minister will also meet the people and Kelantan professionals at the Mek Zainab Wakaf schools complex in Kota Baharu.
At night, Najib is scheduled to meet members of the Kelantan Barisan Nasional committee before returning to Kuala Lumpur.
