KUALA TERENGGANU, July 10 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak called on the wives of Barisan Nasional (BN) elected representatives to fully support their spouses so as to enable them to do a good job.

“Take care of their meals, dressing. I believe they will be able to do a better job when their wives are solidly behind them.

“Don’t nag too much, the blood pressure might rise and will lead to BN elected representatives having a difficult time discharging their responsibilities,” he said when closing the All-Malaysia Wives of Barisan Nasional Elected Representatives ‘Malam Sentuhan Songket’ event at the Islamic Civilisation Park here Saturday night.

He was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor. Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and wife Puan Seri Norainee Abdul Rahman.

Najib said BN elected representatives now had Key Performance Indices (KPI) targets to meet and that he and Muhyiddin feared a lack of spousal support could affect the performance of their spouses.

And being the wives of elected representatives, he said, they must be nice to their electorate as each depended on the other.
