SARATOK: The people can always bank on the Barisan Nasional (BN) government to ensure their bright future.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said with over fifty years of proven track record in transforming the country to what it is today, the people should not doubt the capability of the BN government in spearheading the country towards industrialisation.

Najib assured that the state would continue to progress alongside the other states in the country if it remained under the BN government.

Numerous infrastructure projects planned to improve the livelihood of the rural populace were already set to take off, he said, adding that they included the upgrading of Ulu Krian Road and Kaki Wong Water Treatment Plant.

Also set to take off was the rural electrification project for Krian area, the contract for which had been awarded to a company, he said when addressing a crowd of over 3,000 who turned up to welcome him at Dataran Jam 1Malaysia here yesterday.

To ensure uninterrupted progress of their area, Najib therefore urged the people to rally behind the BN government.

He hoped the people of Saratok would retain the BN candidates in Krian and Kalaka in the coming state election to ensure continuity of progress, while raising the hands of BN candidates Datuk Peter Nyarok Entrie (Krian) and Abdul  Wahab  Aziz (Kalaka).

Stressing that the BN government was sincere in helping the people, Najib said that it was not the habit of BN leaders to show up only during election time.

“BN leaders are always available to entertain requests made by the people and help solve their problems,” he said.

Before he left for Beladin, Najib made a walkabout around town where he spent about half an hour to meet the people.
