20 February 2012 – Official visit by Thailand Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra

During her maiden visit to Malaysia recently, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and I have agreed on six potential areas where economic cooperation can be enhanced – the automotive and rubber industry, food and energy security, oil & gas, and tourism.

24 February 2012 – A day in Melaka

A Day in Melaka

While in Melaka, I had the opportunity to meet and hand over offer letters to the would-be-occupants of the Public Housing (PPR) in Batu Berendam, Sungai Putat. The RM148,000 apartment units will be sold at only RM35,000 each, in which the difference will be subsidised by the Government.

Melaka is currently managing its success and planning the future challenge on how to enhance the facilities in Melaka without stifling its success.

25 February 2012 – Walkabout in Kedah

I was bestowed an award by the Pertubuhan Seni Silat Pusaka Gayong Malaysia (PSSPGM) at the Unity Assembly of Pusaka Gayong Malaysia Martial Art Association in Gurun. More importantly, I announced that the government would help to promote Silat into a proud heritage.

I was also given the honour to launch a Siamese school in Watt Titi Akar in Pendang. The Government is willing to address the shortcomings the Siamese community might be facing.

26 February 2012  – A Day in Selangor

Whilst visiting Bagan Nakhoda Omar, I reiterated that people from the middle and lower middle income groups are not forgotten under the inclusive nature of the 1Malaysia concept. They will gain from the nation’s economic growth through the various development programmes and direct aid from the BN government.
