KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will make an official visit to China from June 2 to 5 at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao.
Najib will be accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and a delegation comprising Foreign Minister Datuk Anifah Aman, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed, Plantation Industries and Commodity Minister Tan Sri Bernard Dompok and Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Khaled Nordin.
Wisma Putra said in a statement here, today that during the four-day visit, Najib will have a bilateral meeting with Wen where they are expected to discuss and exchange views on bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest to both countries.
Najib is also scheduled to call on China’s president Hu Jintao, besides witnessing a series of Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding between the two countries.
The visit is to further strengthen bilateral ties at the highest level and to expand existing areas of cooperation between Malaysia and China, besides strengthening ties between both countries especially on trade and investment, the statement added.
