The swearing in ceremony is also witnessed by the two previous Prime Ministers, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is scheduled to be sworn in as Prime Minister on Friday before the Yang di Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at Istana Negara.
The King had consented to the appointment of Najib as the sixth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan had said.
He said in a statement Thursday that Najib would be presented his letter of appointment as Prime Minister and would take his oath of office, loyalty and confidentiality before the King at Istana Negara.
On Thursday, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi sought an audience with Tuanku Mizan where he conveyed his intention to relinquish the Prime Minister’s post and sought the Kingâ€™s consent for Najib to become the next Prime Minister.
