PUTRAJAYA, Jan 5 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Thursday hosted a lunch for his Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong at Seri Perdana in conjunction with the Malaysia-Singapore Leaders’ Retreat.
Najib greeted Lee and Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen upon their arrival at the prime minister’s official residence at 1.10 pm.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and several other ministers, among them Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha and Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek also attended the lunch.
After lunch, Lee and his delegation were served a variety of local fruits, including durian of the D197 Mousang King, D24 and D160 Tekka varieties, honey jackfruit J33, rambutan, mangosteen and guava.
They were also briefed on the fruits by Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) director-general Ahmad Ishak.
Earlier today, Najib and Lee had a four-eyed meeting after which they attended a delegation meeting.
