Today, I launched the Malaysian Social Enterprise Blueprint at Malaysian Global Innovation and Creativity Centre in Cyberjaya.
The blueprint focuses on 3 areas. Firstly, to build a critical mass of successful social enterprises so that they become an inspirational model for businesses and charities across the country.
Secondly, to create an enabling ecosystem to support the fostering of social and public-private partnerships.
Thirdly, to put in place systemic changes so that regulatory, tax and administrative frameworks ensure sustainable and consistent growth for the sector in the long term.
The successful implementation of the Malaysian Social Enterprise Blueprint will see a more entrepreneurial and self-sustaining social sector.
