
 KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak will table a second economic stimulus package in parliament on March 10 to boost the economy, a newspaper reported on Thursday.
The second stimulus package, which Najib has called a “mini-budget”, will encompass fiscal, monetary and other measures, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Nazri Aziz was quoted as saying in the Star newspaper on Thursday.
Nazri, who is the minister in charge of parliamentary affairs, said details of the mini budget were not known.
The government had already provided in November a $2 billion injection to support the economy in light of a deepening global downturn.
