I have arrived in London after an excellent visit to Tanzania. I am looking forward to meeting with UK Prime Minister David Cameron again on Thursday.
Our countries have both begun looking to each other for greater investment opportunities and business growth, and we have set a challenging target to jointly achieve: RM26 billion of bilateral trade by 2016. That’s double what we current enjoy from the good trading relationship we have together.
A first step towards this goal will be the launch ceremony of the Battersea Power Station project being jointly developed by SP Setia Bhd, Sime Darby Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund. I am confident that other ambitious partnerships will follow.
