KUALA TERENGGANU, Feb 1 (Bernama) — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor are expected to be given a grand welcome when they arrive at the Sultan Mahmud Airport for a one day visit to Terengganu on Friday.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said said the Prime Minister and his wife are expected to arrive at 10am and would head straight to Rhu Rendang, Marang where the Prime Minister would distribute assistance to fishermen.
“At the same function the Prime Minister will also give out Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia to eligible recipients,” he told reporters after chairing an exco meeting here.
Ahmad said the Prime Minister would perform the Friday prayers at the Al-Muktafi Billah Shah Mosque in Ladang here with the people before attending a ‘jamuan bersama rakyat’ programme and later attend another function in Batu Buruk to meet and distribute assistance to fishermen.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will join youths from the state in a cycling expedition from the Primula Hotel to Syahbandar evening market before attending a closed door meeting with Barisan Nasional leaders.
Ahmad said Najib and Rosmah are scheduled to return to Kuala Lumpur after the meeting.
