TAIPING, Jan 14 (Bernama) — Felda has allocated RM2 million to build a mini stadium and RM1 million to upgrade the Ijok town, Selama near here, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The prime minister said the allocation was not from the Prime Minister’s Department but from Felda’s funds.

Najib also announced that the government would allocate RM3.5 million for the construction of the Sungai Seputeh bridge in the Selama state constituency and RM1.25 million for the Arena Square multipurpose complex in the Batu Kurau state constituency.

“So we approved all these allocations today. All will get them as I want to be fair to all,” he said to a loud applause from a strong 25,000 crowd.

Earlier, Najib, who was accompanied by his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, was given a grand welcome by the people and entertained to a traditional martial arts display.

Felda Ijok was the prime minister’s last venue in his visit to Perak before he returned to Kuala Lumpur to attend a tahlil prayer for his late father, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein.
