ASEAN heads of state are scheduled to begin arriving in Bali on Wednesday for the 19th ASEAN Summit and the 6th East Asia Summit in Nusa Dua, Bali.
“Eight heads of state are scheduled to arrive today at Ngurah Rai International Airport,” Ngurah Rai Air Force Base commander Lt. Col.Jumarto said Wednesday, as quoted by Antara news agency.
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will be the first to arrive, followed by Brunei Sultan Hasanal Bolkiah, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato Sri Mohammad Najib Tun Abdul Razak and Philippine President Benigno Aquino
Laos Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong, Myanmar President Thein Sein, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong would arrive on Wednesday afternoon, Jumarto added.
Jumarto said security would high as the leaders arrived.
“Air patrols are being carried out twice a day,” he added.
